Castellane

Castellane (French pronunciation: [kastɛlan]; Provençal Occitan: Castelana) is a commune in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. With a population of 1,472 (2023), it is France's second-least populated subprefecture, after Largentière in Ardèche. Its inhabitants are referred to as Castellanais (masculine) and Castellanaises (feminine).
