About Çavi Tarlası — Nisibis Halaf Plain Settlement
Çavi Tarlası is a 1.1 ha Halaf-period (6100–5400 BCE) keyhole-tholos flat settlement on the Siverek plain, excavated by Munich team (Alwo von Wickede, Jörg Becker) 1983–84. Three superimposed building phases exposed stone-founded tholoi with ante-houses, painted Halaf fine ware, Samarran influences, stamp seals and collective child burials under floors. No later overbuilding preserves open plan.
