Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Apollo on Mt. Parnassus slopes, oracle where Pythia delivered cryptic prophecies shaping Greek colonial and war decisions. Complex includes Temple of Apollo (510 BCE, 6x15 Doric columns), Theater, Stadium, Treasuries of Athenians and Siphnians, Stoa, and Castalian Spring. Considered center of earth (omphalos).
