Island of Meroe is the UNESCO 1332 heartland between Nile–Atbara–Blue Nile (not true island) with 3 Kushite sacred complexes: City of Meroe (pyramids North/South cemeteries, Amun Temple), Musawwarat es-Sufra Great Enclosure (labyrinth 40,000 m² with apedemak) and Naqa Apedemak Temple (15.31N 33.27E). Meroitic kingdom 300 BCE–350 CE. Hafir reservoirs. UNESCO 2011.
