About Myrmekion — Submerged Quay at Myrmekion North (Kerch Strait North) — v2

Northern quay of Myrmekion, Bosporan Strait city on Kerch Strait north shore at Voikovo, where northern harbour and ashlar pier now lie 1–2 m submerged off Voikovo beach north of pantikapaion already in database's Kerch Bay. Distinct from Myrmekion central town, this north sector preserves 90 m ashlar pier at –1.8 m with mooring holes, wine-press quarter at –1.2 m and 5th c. BCE fortification ditch at –1.5 m mapped 2016 Hermitage Myrmekion diving. Founded by Milesians 6th c. BCE opposite Pantikapaion, Myrmekion guarded Strait northern lane until 3rd c. CE Huns. Ditch shows 5th c. BCE burnt layer. Pier sheltered northeasterly Strait winds.
