About Sibudu Cave — Middle Stone Age Rock Shelter
Sibudu is the 55×18 m sandstone cliff shelter above Tongati River where Lyn Wadley found 77–38 ka MSA succession with earliest bow-and-arrow (64 ka quartz segments), earliest bedding (77 ka sedge matting with insect-repellent Cryptocarya), and 70 ka adhesive (ochre + gum). 29 m stratigraphy of Still Bay, Howiesons Poort, post-HP and 58 ka needle. SAHRA National Heritage Site, UNESCO 2024 serial. Seal and shell ornaments show coastal link 15 km from Indian Ocean.
