Mysteries & theories

Mysteries

  1. 01Library identification – argues as public library from inscription vs ordinary annex
  2. 02Why orthogonal grid extended less rigidly outside initial square – organic growth

Theories

  1. 01Trajanic foundation inscription specifies 'for veterans' indicates deliberate Romanisation policy
  2. 02Byzantine fort reoccupation after Vandal interlude shows continuity

Theories are interpretations, not findings. The seal above tells you how much scholarly weight the place carries.
