One of Moldova's largest Cucuteni tells — Țuguieta mound 9 m stratigraphy (Precucuteni III to Cucuteni B1, Horodiștea) at Trușești, excavated by M. Petrescu-Dîmbovița 1951–61. The 8 ha outer settlement surrounds the 1 ha tell core; excavated 90+ Cucuteni A houses, including a 10×12 m 'large house' with sanctuary, plus Cucuteni B amphorae. Famous for anthropomorphic vessels and copper. Museum reserve.
