High mountain (2,450 m, 43°13′N 77°05′E) Saka kurgan chain in Tuyuk-Su Gorge, Ile Alatau north slope above Greater Almaty moraine (Issyk Golden Man 43° north same massif). Five kurgans 12-26 m, 1.0-1.9 m, of 6th-4th c BCE Saka Tigrakhauda with stone cists and bergkristal beads; glacier (Tuyuk-Su Glacier) 3,400 m feeds gorge; kurgans on lateral moraine crest overlooking glacier retreat marker. Preservation via scree cover; 1960-2020 Ala-Archa analogue shows moss vitamin lichen Teloschistaceae appendix 4 188 50.07N 88.41E similar alpine kurgan ecology. Park boundary shelters from Almaty sprawl.
