Vilnius Lower Castle (Valdovų rūmai) — stately Renaissance palace of Grand Dukes of Lithuania (Gediminas c.1323 foundation, 15th–17th c Renaissance florescence Sigismund Old–Vasa) at foot of Gediminas Upper Castle between Cathedral and Neris, Vilnius Old Town. Gothic–Renaissance 2 ha complex with throne hall, excavated 1987–2009 (Kitkauskas), destroyed 1655 Muscovite sack, rebuilt 2018 as Palace of Grand Dukes museum. UNESCO Vilnius Historic Centre (1994) includes complex. Vaults, Renaissance sgraffito, Italian masters, and Curonian heritage.
