Hilltop female-fertility ceremonial center (800 BCE–950 CE) overlooking Popocatépetl and Cacaxtla: Pyramid of Flowers (30×30 m, 9 m high with 2000 clay female figurines, needle, spindle whorls), Building of Serpent, spiral pyramid and obsidian ritual lumps. Female-focused offering of young women figurines 600 BCE–400 CE argues goddess Tlazolteotl shrine, complementary to nearby Cacaxtla's militaristic murals 4 km away. Serra Puche 1992–94 excavations.

Why it mattersOnly Mesoamerican site demonstrating female-centered governance; 2000 female figurines vs militaristic Cacaxtla 4 km away suggests gendered sacred landscape.
