About La Congona Fortress
Chachapoya fortified citadel (1100–1470 CE) on ridge above Utcubamba: dry-stone circular houses (~35 structures) enclosed by 300-m-long defensive wall 2.5 m high with narrow slit entrance, aligned to Revash valley. Associated terraces and cave tombs; pottery reveals Chachapoya brown ware with Ychsma imports. Probably garrison for Revash necropolis.
