Southernmost Harappan outpost (2200–1000 BCE) on Pravara River in Maharashtra, 20 ha mound famous for Daimabad hoard — four Late Harappan bronze sculptures (elephant, rhinoceros, chariot and bull, human figure) weighing 65 kg total, largest bronze hoard of its period in South Asia. Five-phase cultural sequence from Savalda to Jorwe with Late Harappan intrusion demonstrating Harappan expansion 1000 km south of core Ghaggar-Indus.
Why it mattersProves Late Harappan expansion far into Deccan, 1000 km south of Mohenjo-daro; bronze hoard links to BMAC.
