Earlier Preceramic/Initial Period U-shaped temple pyramid in Rímac Valley (c. 1700–1000 BCE) — second-largest Rímac U-temple after Garagay, central pyramid 17 m high mudfill with stone facing, 300 × 200 m U arms enclosing plaza 140 × 80 m, built by Lima-pre-Cupisnique? culture contemporary to Chavín periphery. Mito phase? Extensive offering pits. Occupied later by Lima culture. Excavated by Patterson, Isla, and recent Ministry surveys; encroached by Lima sprawl threats. Links Rímac to Chillón (El Paraíso) and Lurín (Manchay) U tradition.

Why it mattersClassic Rímac U-temple second largest; 1700 BCE horizon contemporary with early Sechin; threatened by Lima expansion documents urban heritage conflict.
