Inselberg hillfort guarding Katsina southern farm frontier, Dutsin Ma crowns a 605 m granite whaleback with 1.2 km dry-stone wall (2–4 m), round huts with stone footings (40), granary platforms, and battle trench (3 m). 1804 Fulani war refuge (Gobir-Katsina). Rock gongs (dutsin). Kwararafa raid barrier. Survived Sokoto jihad as enclave. View over Sudano-Sahelian plain.
