About
About Kolomiychyna (Trypillia)
Middle Trypillia B1 (c.4400–4200 BCE) clustered village on Stugna bluff — one of first Trypillia B1 mega-cluster sites: excavated by Tetyana Passek (1934–) & M. Videiko with 40+ burnt house platforms in narrow-neck spur, fortified by palisade with ditch, burnt house horizon with painted pottery (black-red). Associated with Trypillia village that gives entire Cucuteni–Trypillia culture its name (Trypillia near Kyiv). Shows transition from Cucuteni A to Trypillia B with mega-site nucleation before Maidanetske. Buried under chernozem colluvium 2 m deep.
