Rio Bec Group R-16 forest palace east of Becán-Xpujil road: twin non-functional stair towers flanking tripartite temple, interior vaults bear ochre red handprints giving modern name. Structure I 16 m high with false pyramid steep stairs 75°. Largely unexcavated; INAH-stabilized. Exemplifies Rio Bec non-functional stair ideology and forest canopy city pattern.
