About Xpujil Structure I Three-Tower Pyramid
Iconic Rio Bec city with Structure I (7th–10th c.) unique three-tower pyramid: three stacked temples atop low platform 54×19 m, 5 m high, each with false stairways and Chenes masks — central tower with three chambers, flanking towers solid with steep dummy stairs. Only Maya building with three towers. Part of Xpujil group with 17 structures. Found by karl Ruppert 1930s, restored INAH. Blend of Rio Bec tower-pyramid and Chenes mask program; masks of Itzamna and Chaac on façades.
