Stavgard — Gotlandic ringfort (Migrations–Vendel Period 400–800 CE, with Iron Age reuse) on Stavgard farm ridge, Burs parish, southeastern Gotland, 35 km southeast Visby. Quadrangular stone-earth ring 180×150 m, 3 m high rampart with limestone facing, two gates north/south, interior 1 ha with house terraces, cist grave. Un-excavated but surveyed RAGU/Gotland Fornsal: part of Gotland's 12+ ringforts (Torsburgen, Stavgard, etc.). Defensive refuge farming community, Viking Age hoard nearby (Stavgard? separate). Eastern Gotland plain surveillance. Burs church 13th c nearby.
