About Tell Jerablus Tahtani
Mound 5 km south of Carchemish (Jarabulus) on the Euphrates west bank, excavated by Peltenburg (Edinburgh) 1992–2000 before Tishrin dam. Ubaid sherds, Uruk IV bevel-rim horizon, EB II walled town with gate, houses and cemetery show the Carchemish-Jerablus double centre.
